Committee Mission
Increase awareness of SPA's activities, accomplishments, and projects among SPA members, community leaders, the media, other community groups, and the general public.

Responsibilities
The Communications Committee has three major responsibilities:
  • Manage content and production of SPA's quarterly newsletter, the Update, which is included with SPA membership. Much thanks goes to Julie Olsen of OfficeTech for printing our newsletters free as a donation to SPA. Back issues of the Update are available on line
  • Maintenance of the design and content of this website. Feedback and suggestions for improvements are welcome
  • Management of SPA's display booth, present at local community events during the year to inform people about SPA's goals, activities, and accomplishments
SPA Booth

Connie Emry, a committee member, arranges for SPA's participation at these community events and staffing of the booth. The booth is at four events a year at least: Mother's Day Tour in May, ArtFest in June, Labor Day Celebration at Comstock Park in September, and Custer's Antique Show in October. If you would like to help us by staffing at one or more of these events, please contact Connie.

Additionally, Communications Committee members tackle other projects, such as branding the SPA logo and designing SPA's collateral materials.

The Communications Committee welcomes your participation as a committee member or as help on a particular project. Please contact a board member if you wish to become involved. The time commitment is minimal and we have a fun committee.
