Washington STATE HISTORIC
PRESERVATION PLAN: 2014-2019
“Getting the Future Right”
The Department of Archeology and Historic Preservation (DAHP) is
updating the Washington State Historic Preservation Plan to proactively address
archaeological, historic, and cultural resource issues and opportunities in
Washington State over the next five years.
We need your input to ensure
State Historic Preservation Plan is responsive to historic preservation needs
and issues facing property owners, communities, agencies and organizations
across Washington.
We welcome your participation in shaping the Plan by sharing your ideas
about future historic preservation work in the state. Opportunities to
participate include completing an on-line survey and attending one of the
Community Conversations. Please share these opportunities broadly with your affiliates,
constituents, colleagues, friends, and others.
Community Survey
A Community Survey is available on the web at www.surveymonkey.com/s/DAHPStatewidePlan
The survey will open on April 8, 2012 and will close on May 31st, 2013.
Community Conversations
DAHP and its partners are hosting seven community conversations
throughout Washington State. The Community Conversations will explore current
issues and opportunities facing historic and cultural resources in Washington.
The Community Conversations noted with an asterisk will include an optional
community tour starting at 5:30 pm, with discussion starting at 7 pm. Dress for
the weather and bring a camera for this informal walk around the neighborhood
to look at preservation opportunities.
