Gala 2008 dessertsA special sub-committee put on a fabulous 2008 Gala & Auction as a fundraiser for SPA this March, with a delicious catered dinner, special desserts, a dance band, and live and silent auction items.  Check out the Gala page for more photos.

March's general meeting took place at the MacLeod House, otherwise known as Lillian Conn Antiques on North Monroe.  Members toured both floors of this Queen Anne style home, viewing the lovely antiques and artwork featured for sale in the home, while partaking of drinks and hors d'oeuvres.

December's Holiday Party was at the Jones House, an Arts & Crafts style home on East 13th. Guests toured all floors of the home, admired the woodwork, stained glass, wallpaper, and holiday decorations.  There were even framed blueprints of the house.  The Events Committee insured that everyone had many choices for their savory and sweet appetizers.

The September general meeting was held at the Elmendorf House, a Dutch Colonial on E. 9th.  Visitors toured all three floors of the home, sampled delicious appetizers, and partook of the wine bar in the back yard. The back porch was a perfect place to over-look the general meeting events.

Committee Mission:  Plans, coordinates, and implements SPA’s quarterly meetings and special events.
